And the superior agility of the ship got me thinking that it might be a better choice to the Imicus. I already have a Navitas - because of the many tutorials and freebies a new players gets in this version - even though I don't have the proper permit for it, I just used a blueprint to get one. Can I really make myself harder to detect against skilled players with better equipment? It's one question I can't even begin to experiment with.

Going forward, however, wouldn't my upgrade time be better spent reducing my own signature radius* (* = later edit) for the time being? Should I invest in better scanning rigs/upgrades or in better ways to get out of a nasty situation? In my starting scenario, various short skill upgrades allow me to do basic exploration already. While most guides are useful if you want to min-max at a career, it doesn't seem to be prudent in my situation.

I know it's doable but hard and that it limits the activities you'd be able to accomplish. I want to try out the solo experience at first specifically because people say it's harder. Just so that I don't confuse things from the get-go. Signature and your scout/explorer's scanner resolution should be as low as possible.
